Great coverage from the Echo - the latest story on their "cricket" page is a football tale about LFC loan players from February, while their latest cricket story is one about Lancashire CC from January. Nothing about the new LDCC season - no preview, no results. Should improve in a couple of months though once the football season has finished....

Next to no coverage on the Echo website, yet clubs are being forced to have results on Playcricket by 10.30pm for 1st team games or fall foul of a fine!

Nothing on the Echo site about the L&DCC since the 10th of May - that's poor. Palace Shield reports go up on the LEP website within a couple of days, and it's not even a Premier League.
I would say the LCB should put some pressure on but their website is also poor for updates.
No wonder teams are struggling for players - with such a lack of coverage, perhaps people think cricket has been consigned to the history books!

Still next to nothing on the Echo Website about this season's Competition. I'm sure we can appreciate that local media have more pressing concerns and may be stretched too far to provide an adequate coverage. I also note that Mr Paul Edwards is covering the Championship for two news outlets and that will be of greater value to him as a freelance writer.
To respond to your Point, Mrs. Trellis, it is my long experience of club cricket in the competition that many cricketers, and countless more volunteers are leaving the game due to the vast swathes of bureaucracy percolating throughout. Barely a weekend goes by were our members don't find themselves frustrated with yet further man com 'guidance'. This does not appear to be a problem relating solely to our club either, having had numerous similar conversations with opponents. Less bureaucracy, allied with more flexible playing regulations may help to keep the depth of the league strong as opposed to concentrating talent at a handful of rich clubs.
One day people may learn!
