I am interested to hear about LDCC clubs and their policy concerning members and non-members bringing alcohol into the ground and consuming that alcohol as opposed to buying alcohol from the club bar. Seems to me that buying your alcohol from Bargain Booze is a damn sight cheaper than buying at club bars. Some clubs seem to have no problem with members/non-members bringing in their own alcohol whereas other clubs are strictly opposed and have some kind of, 'Alcohol Patrol.'

At most clubs the alcohol licence applies to the who ground, not just the bar area so bringing your own booze is like taking your own alcohol into a pub's beer garden.

Most clubs basically have 2 funding streams, subs and the bar. If you want to go and enjoy the high standard of cricket in the comp then support your club by paying your subs and using the facilities. Simples.

I could never be so cheeky to take my own drink to another club unless it had openly been announced that it was allowed. I would be furious if someone came to our club and did that - in fact I would tell them to either stop drinking it or leave.
